Safety footwear with the S3 rating meeting the requirements of the EN ISO 20345:2011 standard. It is characterized by metallic or non-metallic toecaps, fully enclosed heel parts, antistatic properties, energy absorption in the heel area, resistance to water penetration and absorption, puncture resistance and treaded outsoles. The S3-rated footwear is suitable for outdoor work thanks to its water resistance and treaded outsoles. Some models of safety footwear with the S3 rating are insulated, too – suitable for work in colder environments.
