JSP's EVO®5 DualSwitch™ safety helmet is fully certified to both EN 397 and EN 12492; allows for easy change between both standards by simply switching the strap UP for EN 397 and EN 50365:2002 and switching the strap DOWN for EN 12492 and EN 50365:2002; the chin strap release force according to EN 12492 is greater than 500 newtons, which reduces the risk of losing the helmet in the event of a fall; the chin strap release force according to EN 397 is 150 to 250 newtons; this in turn reduces the risk of suffocation; the chin strap is designed to release if it gets caught
