The standard EN 420 sets the general requirements for work gloves, such as sizes and the agility of the gloves and the like. All gloves must be at least CE marked.
In addition, there are a number of standards for gloves, which describe the requirements for the individual characteristics that the glove has in the specific area. Work gloves are divided into three levels, which reflect the level of protection. The categories are set out in PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425, which deals with safety requirements for personal protective equipment.
